A little clarification for some folks... I have had some people tell me and ask what they could do since it looks like their phone has been hacked.... I asked what they meant and they said they were getting calls from strangers saying that you just called me!! HERE is the clarification.. YOUR PHONE has not technically been hacked by the actual usage of the word. what has happened is programs. there are spoofing programs that anyone can download if you know where to find them. originally they started out as jokes, but people (scammers) have started using these to again try to convince people that its important and you should answer and help with whatever they need. IT IS STILL SCAM, but you dont need a new phone it has not been hacked.

I am not sure what response they were looking for, but that was an interesting 2 calls within 5 minutes apart! Both calls came from the same number... 970-453-1904...caller id said out of Breckenridge Colorado. but the funny part of the call was after I answered (they were on my business line) the only response from the call was HEY! when i repeated my response again i only heard HEY! the call was disconnected when I again said my normal response. Which by the way is my normal way of answering my phone! Thank you for calling the Tech Guy, how can we help you!
a business line will eliminate a lot of the spam/scam calls for you if they think they have contacted a business.
