I just realized I've been 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 about A2P registration this whole time.

I love a good "𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱?" moment on a call.

Monday during 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀, one of my members, Peter, set up a phone number and sent a text straight to my phone, from inside an automation. I honestly expected it to get blocked.

It went through. And for a second I was genuinely confused, because the rule I have known forever is that you have to register for A2P before a number will text anything.

Then I dug in. Turns out GHL recently simplified the whole A2P system for the US and Canada, and the requirements now depend on your number, your route, and even the date you bought it. Peter had already done the quick ID verification step, which changed how his number behaved.
