It’s officially summer, and with hotter weather comes a higher risk of heat-related illness, so don’t forget to drink your water! Even if you don’t feel thirsty, staying hydrated is one of the simplest ways you can take care of yourself at work on a hot day. You can also:
💧 Take breaks to recover from the heat, especially in a cool or shady area.
💧 Dress for the heat with light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
💧 Hydrate before, during, and after work to minimize your risk of dehydration.
💧 Watch out for your team! If you notice someone looking unwell, slurring their words, seizing, or losing consciousness, call 911 immediately.
