In light of the ongoing events involving the unresolved threat in Lewiston and the uncertainty surrounding it, we have been in contact with local authorities, including the Chief of the Houlton Police Department, to assess the situation carefully. Given the seriousness of the matter and in alignment with the recommendations from law enforcement agencies, we have decided to postpone the All Shires' Eve Halloween event, originally scheduled for this weekend, to the following weekend. The safety of our community members is paramount, and this decision is made with everyone's best interests in mind.

We understand that this postponement may bring disappointment, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. However, it is our collective responsibility to prioritize safety above all else. We are hopeful that this proactive step will allow our community to come together under safer circumstances and enjoy the festivities next weekend.
