If your mfp prints lines down the page only when using the document feeder and not while using the glass, then there is a spot on the small/narrow glass to the left of the main glass (platen glass).

This is interesting. I worked for Xerox for 30 years and have been running my own company since the end of 2000. I thought that HP would acquire Xerox and not the other way around!
