Check out my portfolio site: www.arzugil.com
I’m in the process of updating it again and deciding what feature I want to add next.
One of the things I love about having a custom-built portfolio site is that every new feature becomes another opportunity to learn. I can’t just download a plugin, install it, and call it a day. If I want something new, I have to engineer it myself.
That process has taught me a lot.
Building my chatbot pushed me deeper into artificial intelligence, large language models, prompt engineering, APIs, backend logic, and user experience design. It was not just another feature; it was a real learning experience that helped me understand how modern AI applications are built and integrated into real websites.
Over the years, I’ve built custom websites, WordPress sites, iOS apps, Android apps, machine learning applications, neural networks, and now I can confidently add custom hand-built chatbots to that list.
That is what I enjoy most about programming. Every project becomes proof of growth. Every feature forces me to think through architecture, design, performance, usability, and scalability.
A portfolio should be more than a digital resume. It should be a living project that shows what you can actually build.
I’m excited to keep improving mine and continue adding features that reflect where I’m growing as a developer.
