A look at our latest branding project for Loco H**p Co.
We wanted to take Loco H**p Co to another level, capitalizing on it's aggressive look and feel. The old logo had a pronounced icon reminiscent of the Ed Roth rat fink stylings, but it wasn't easily scaled, brandable, or even replicated. It wasn't delivered in vector format, which made things challenging from a print and branding perspective, and that was a problem we were happy to solve for the client.
We took inspiration from that logo and went to work, illustrating a logo that retained the original aggressive, locomotive force-like characteristics while ensuring it met standard design criteria - easily adjustable, accessible to all formats of print, and scalable.
Once we locked in the logo, the branding itself came to life.
We drew inspiration from some psychedelic aspects and the feeling of vertigo - notice the background is similar to that of a stoney gaze, tied in with vertigo shaped eye elements to capture that spacey, trance like feeling. The gradient colors will be foiled and punch through the design, complimenting the black background and bold white fonts in an eye catching way.
More skus & website to come. We couldn't be happier with the way this project turned out. It was such a pleasure working with the team at Loco!
