As the new year kicks off, OVS is pleased to announce a new addition to the OVS Team! Andrew Lafleur joins OVS as the VP of Growth and Technology. Drew will play a significant role in this new assignment to generate a new era of growth and technical leadership for the OVS platform.

Drew is a petroleum engineer who most recently served as the CEO of a midstream focused SaaS software company, supporting operators and engineering service providers around the world. Prior to that, Drew led an upstream integrated operations center for a Fortune100 US operator where OVS workflows were rolled out in drilling, completions, operations geology, reservoir, and production.

We are very excited to welcome Drew to our team as we race into a new year!

As we race through yet another year, we took a moment today to remember our colleague and friend Tim Loser. We lost Tim this summer very suddenly to an advanced disease, but we know he is keeping an eye on his family, his friends, and his OVS colleagues from Heaven. Although his heavenly Aggie jersey is probably equipped with more bling, we’ll use this one at our office to remember him and salute the school he loved so much. Merry Christmas from all of us Tim.

OVS Group was proud to be one of the many sponsors last Friday at the Venezuelan American Friendship Association (AVAA) 12th annual golf tournament in Houston. OVS has strong roots in Venezuela and we continue to support the youth of the country in programs like the AVAA. During the last 77 years, AVAA has developed three social programs within the education field, generating a positive impact in hundreds of Venezuelans. Stay strong AVAA!

We are very grateful to our committed clients and our local teams for their unwavering tenacity through the challenges of these past couple years. It was truly satisfying for us to return to Kuala Lumpur this month as Malaysia opened for travel once again. Thanks PETRONAS and the local PSC’s for excellent sessions to look at new and broader challenges as optimization and transition are very hot topics for operators globally. OVS Group is committed to making an impact across the communities where we live, serve, and work. Many of our employees, as well as our founder, are Venezuelans who have watched as their home country has endured enormous challenges. Among other initiatives we support, we are proud of our most recent involvement in RACS – Rafael Angel Chasin Soto Academia Deportiva. This organization is focused on bringing local community members together in Valle de La Pascua, Venezuela. The group uses funding to support sports initiatives to drive positive community interactions among young people who face many local hardships. We are proud to add RACS to our Giving Wall at OVS Group.
