Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved Africans in Galveston, Texas—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the journey toward freedom and equality, celebrate African American culture and heritage, and recognize the resilience and contributions of Black communities.
Let's use this day to educate, inspire, and continue working toward a more just and equitable society for all. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
