Your brand can be fun and whimsical.

I had so much fun creating this brand for a client that specifically requested it to be bold, fun, and energetic. We wanted to bring a little bit of humor to everyday life and cancer survivorship.

We decided on a fun typeface as well as unique brand assets that really played with the color palette.

Coconuts and Cookies is a women’s health online resource that is dedicated to sharing informational resources on navigating women’s health in the care clinics as well as being a hub for cancer survivors.

Right now Coconuts and Cookies is still in concept mode but I look forward to when it will be shared with the world.

You know that thing where you open Adobe or Canva with so much energy and then close it 20 minutes later because nothing feels right and now you are questioning your entire brand identity? 😅

Yeah.

That was never supposed to be part of the job.

Branding stress is almost always a strategy problem not a creativity problem. When the foundation is clear everything else gets so much easier. The posts. The visuals. The captions. Even the Canva file.

That is exactly what we do at Brand Studio Creative. Take the overwhelm completely off your plate so you can finally show up with confidence. Swipe through. 👇

Your brand is an extension of you, which means it should feel like something you’re proud and excited to put out into the world.

When you genuinely love your brand, it shows. You talk about it with confidence, you share it more often, and people can feel that energy.

But if your brand doesn’t feel like you, it can start to feel awkward to post, hard to explain, and easy to avoid. And your audience can sense that, too.

The goal is to build a brand that fits you so well that sharing it feels natural, fun, and exciting for you—and irresistible for the people you’re meant to serve.

If you are wanting to get more excited within your brand, let’s chat and see how we can build something you are proud of.

A pretty brand that doesn't convert is just an expensive decoration. 🫢
...and the worst part is that most business owners don't find that out until after they've already spent the time, the money, and the energy trying to make it look right!

The visuals aren't the problem. The missing strategy is.

When every design choice is backed by a clear understanding of who the brand is for, what it's offering, and where it's trying to go — the whole thing starts working differently. The right people recognize themselves in it. The perceived value goes up without a single price change. And the audience stops hesitating.

That's what intentional design actually does. It doesn't just look good. It guides people. It builds trust before a single conversation happens. It makes the decision to reach out feel obvious instead of risky.

Demand isn't accidental. It's designed. ✨

It’s time for an honest confession. 🫣

I once spent an hour making my captions "nicer" so it wouldn't offend anyone. Posted it. Got 11 likes and absolute silence. 👀

Turns out when you try to speak to everyone you end up speaking to no one. Your dream client scrolled right past because nothing felt like it was meant for her specifically.

Bold brands are not aggressive, they are just clear. And when your brand is clear about who it is for the right ones find you fast and the wrong ones quietly move on without a single awkward conversation.

Less chasing. More ease. Swipe through to see what that actually looks like. 👇

Nobody is reading the website and thinking "wow, great typography choice!" 🤦🏻‍♀️

But they are feeling it. Whether the brand seems trustworthy. Whether it feels made for them or made for everyone. Whether it gives them enough confidence to actually reach out.

That is brand psychology. And it is happening every single time someone lands on a page whether the business owner knows it or not.

Katie Holmes breaks this down in her latest Brainz Magazine feature. The decision to trust a brand is made in seconds. And when the colors, layout, tone, and messaging are not aligned, the audience feels that too. They just cannot explain why they clicked away. 🧠

The brands that consistently attract the right people are not the prettiest ones. They are the ones that make their audience feel understood, confident, and clear on what to do next. ✨

So, I had a client come to me a some time ago completely confused about why nobody was reaching out.. 😵‍💫

Her website looked great. Her work was incredible. People were landing on her services page and then just….leaving. No inquiry. No email. Nothing. 🫣

So I went through her services page and counted four things that were missing.

1. No timeline so they could picture it fitting into their life.
2. No examples of their work or past services.
3. No price range so people could figure out if they could even afford her.
4. No FAQ so all the "but what about…" questions just sat there unanswered so clicking the button felt like jumping off a cliff. 👀

Here's the thing nobody tells you. People don't reach out when things feel unclear. They don't email you asking for more information. They just close the tab and forget you exist. 🙃

Your services page is not just a list of what you offer. It's the page that either books the client or loses them forever. And most of the time it's losing them over four things that take an afternoon to fix.

Go open your services page right now. How many of those four things does it actually answer? Let me know!👇

Okay, so someone visited my client's website three times in one week and never reached out. 👀

Imagine that — three times. Read everything. Looked through the portfolio. But just….disappeared.

When we finally got her on a call she said she loved what she saw but couldn't figure out if it was the right fit. Couldn't figure out the price range. Couldn't figure out what would actually happen if she reached out. So she kept coming back hoping to find the answer and kept leaving without it.

That's a silent buyer — and I bet there's probably one on your website right now doing the exact same thing.

People don't reach out when things feel unclear. they don't email asking questions. The bar to click send is way higher than the bar to just close the tab. So if your website isn't answering it before they even think to ask — you're losing people you never even knew you had. 🙃

Clarity is the whole strategy. Not a prettier design. Just a website that makes someone feel like they already know what happens next. ✨

Remember, your website can look completely fine and still feel off to everyone who visits it. 🫢

You see no broken links. No ugly design. Nothing you can technically point to just….something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And that something is almost always consistency. Different fonts creeping in across pages. A button that changed somewhere between the homepage and the contact page. Copy that sounds warm on one page and weirdly formal on the next.

Nobody points those things out. They just leave. 🫣

Well, here's the wild part — that "something's off" feeling hits BEFORE they read a single word about what you do. It's a first impression thing and first impressions don't wait for context. 👀

But here is the good news.

The fix is so much simpler than people expect. One font, two weights, consistent buttons, and a tone that sounds like ONE human wrote the whole thing.

That's what makes a website feel expensive. Not a full redesign. Not a bigger budget. Just intention applied the same way everywhere.

Swipe through then go compare three pages of your own site. Do they feel like they belong together? 👇

A parenting podcast invited Katie Holmes to talk branding and honestly? Best decision Dr. Mya Rae ever made! ✨

Because it turns out the people who need to hear that your logo is not your brand are not always the ones following brand accounts. Sometimes it's the mom building a business from her kitchen table who has spent three weeks on a Canva color palette and still feels like something is off. 🫣

Katie showed up on the Hey Hannah Podcast and said the quiet part out loud. The logo is the last thing that makes someone trust you. What comes before it is the whole point.

It's one of those conversations that feels like someone finally explaining the thing you have been trying to figure out on your own for way too long. 🎙️

There were times when I’d do a random website audit and just stop and laugh because I found all three of these on the same page! 🤦🏻‍♀️🫣

The whole homepage was basically begging people to do five different things at once. “Book a call,”“Download the freebie,”"Follow on instagram,””Read the blog,” “Watch the video,” and then the CTA button at the bottom of the services page said “Submit.".

SUBMIT. As if filling out an inquiry form is the same thing as turning in homework. 😭

Here's what nobody talks about. Your button copy is the last thing someone reads before they decide whether to trust you with their money. And "submit”? That’s doing absolutely nothing for you.

Small swap. “Let's talk" or “Start the process" or literally anything that sounds like a human being wrote it. It has a completely different feeling.

Okay the third one is the one people push back on the most so I genuinely want to know. does your button say submit right now?
