A new Sony patent describes technology that could make a 100GB game playable from an initial download of just 100MB 🤯
Instead of installing everything at once, only the core code would stay on the console, with textures, sound and other large assets delivered dynamically as required.
The system could delete those assets again once they are no longer needed, dramatically reducing how much space a game permanently uses.
