Hey there everyone, Jake here. I know this page has been silent for the past couple months but I just wanted to get everyone up to speed with TSN, what all we have been up to and what we are doing moving forward. I guess I will get right down to it and let yall know that TSN is shutting down for good. I just wanted to let yall know out right seeing as we still have some residual engagement on this page.
TSN started out as a podcast company with the primary purpose of producing podcasts with my brothers Max Harrington and Cody Harrington and my close friends Alex Wright and Mike Howard. We began looking for interviews at conventions. Our first event was when I discovered how awesome tournaments were and how fun they were to attend. After getting back from our first event I was able to locate a review of our gaming event and saw someone put a very touching and heartwarming review on their blog about the event. I knew I wanted to give something like that a shot and spend some time on this idea. After speaking to some people and realizing there was no one in the smaller operational scale that paid their TO’s and streamers anything fair I realized that we could at least try to make a company with a fair approach to our team. Because of this we were able to reach more people that helped us in more and more fields until we became solely concentrated on tournaments. Most of you likely know Vincent, Linda, Robyn, or Matt. I was always busy with work trying to keep the lights on or working on something behind the scenes. Because of this a lot of you who may or may not be reading this I only met a hand full of times. After almost 5 years we gradually moved on bit by bit and everyone found much bigger and better things. Where in 2014 I started TSN as a podcast initiative in Spring Texas, In the spare room in a shabby rented home I now type this out from a farm in Oregon. Hell of a change.
A week from today this page will stop being serviced all together and will only be up for posterity and for me personally to be able to go back through and look at all the memories and times I was able to enjoy with you all. I cant say enough how awesome this adventure was to have with you all. I only wish I had more time away from work to be with everyone and actually play the games and participate in the events we ran but at least I can say I was able to participate in some of the most fun I wouldn’t have had otherwise. We may revive this one day when we have the time and energy to dedicate ourselves to something totally different, likely a media outlet as soon a month or maybe as long as multiple years from now but I cant make any promises.
I reached out to some old friends and here is what they had to say:
Linda Jaramillo: I think I just want to say I'm thankful to all the people that support us and I l appreciate each and every one of them.
Josue Zuñiga: It was a really fun and knowledgeable time. I feel like it helped me grow as a person and imparted valuable knowledge onto me as well as cherished friendships with people who I otherwise may have never had the good fortune of meeting! It was truly a positive experience that I will fondly look back on 🙂
Robyn Adams: Thank you to everyone for supporting us across events such as AllCon, The GameCon, CraveCon, and allllllll the Neil's weeklies. You guys set some of us on paths that we never could've dreamed, and we are eternally grateful for that 🙏
Additional mentions:
Vincent Railsback Robby Rush Charis LaVaun Velasco Emily Kristen Harrington
If you were associated with us please feel free to speak to your time with us.
Here are some nostalgic pictures to reminisce over. The first one is the very first picture taken of what we called The Slurred Nerd podcasts in our first makeshift studio taken by one of the first "snerds" Jase Mcmullins Vladimir Jr..
So long everyone! See you next time and maybe one day.
