Ever wondered how to segment your network for better security and efficiency?
It’s simple with VLAN configuration on Cisco switches.

🔹 Step 1: Create a VLAN

Switch(config) # vlan 20
Switch(config-vlan) # name IT Department
Switch(config-vlan) # exit

🔹 Step 2: Assign VLAN to a Port

Switch(config) # interface gigabitEthernet 0/1
Switch(config-if) # switchport mode access
Switch(config-if) # switchport access vlan 20

✅ That’s it! Your port is now part of VLAN 20 (IT Department).
