Please everyone, be diligent about letting people take control of your computer. If you receive an email, text, or even a call saying you have got to let someone remote into your computer to help you with your refund hang up immediately. Scammers are tricky they usually claim they are Microsoft, IRS, Norton , MacAfee But they are not. If you are on a website and it starts talking to you and says to call a number and if you turn your pc off it'll be bad, Do not call that number. First take a deep breathe then open task manager( ctrl alt delete at the same time) stop all browser instances, chrome, Firefox, edge or any other browser you may have. this should kill the browser. Reopen it if it asks to restore previous pages say no. Use the computer if all seems ok your free, if you continue getting popups or redirected to unfamiliar pages seek a repair technician. Im seeing these scams on a daily bases. People are loosing thousands of dollars at a time so please let family know not to allow anyone they don't know access there computer and to never except help from someone who they don't reach out to.

Dear Friends, as many people know Creekside sold our building and has been doing minimal work in the area. As some know already Me and Jennifer went through a divorce and with an empty heart I must say she wont be part of the reopening of Creekside. We have purchased a new building slightly off the beaten path but close to our old location and are working with the village of Howard City to get permits to reopen. I am letting everyone know that we are trying hard to reopen and would like to get some feed back both positive or negative in regards to the service we bring to the area. Thank you all again for the many years of business you have given us.

In light of the Zuckerberg questioning at the Senate Judiciary Committee, we’d like to give you some pointers about privacy. The internet has become a necessity for us to communicate, so it’s important to understand that “free” things are costing you something and payment is being made whether you know it or not.

Free software downloads and online forums are great! But, someone is getting paid to make that program, and someone is getting paid to host it online where you can get to it. When you download free things (even some paid things!) you need to be aware when you click that you agree to terms that you are paying with something. Typically, it’s more “free” things, like toolbars or PC speed up tools. These additional “freebies” are ultimately what you are paying with. They track and monitor your activity and sell that data to marketing agencies. It slows down your computer and can invite more of its kind in. You pay with your privacy for anything “free.”

Now, we still love free software. If you pay close attention you will see where you can opt out of these optional tag-alongs. Not all the time, but sometimes. Also, your Facebook has pretty great security settings - use them. By default you’re wide open on Facebook. Take a minute and go through your settings and secure yourself.

We could go into mobile apps, but that’s another day. We just want you to be safe out there on the webs.
