What does Google's newest android update have in store for us? The latest and greatest android update has quite a few new features unlike android 10 which had mostly unnoticeable upgrades. Android 11 has allowed all messaging apps to use the 'bubble' feature that Facebook messenger has used for so long. The apps have to deliver compatibility on their own. The media notification bar has also changed. Now media has it's own category at the top of your notification bar. Along with this update the media bar has a circle in the top right that allows you to switch the audio output. Android 11 has also brought built in screen recording, something many of us having been wanting for a long time. Of course there are also the comfort updates such as the airplane mode no longer turning of Bluetooth when media is playing through a Bluetooth audio device. All in all Android 11 is a great update that will hopefully come to all android devices sooner rather than later.

The Oculus Quest 2 ships out in early October! The new Oculus is a great option for people new to VR. The specifications are impressive at 72hz and a resolution of 1832x1920 per eye. Starting at $299 this is a great option for people who want to try VR but don't want to drop the $1000 on a valve index virtual reality kit.

With an 8 core Ryzen processor, 16gb of memory, and an ultra fast ssd it's exciting to wonder how Xbox will compete with the PS5. Along with the huge processing power the PS5 has been given it's gotten a display out upgrade as well, boasting HDMI 2.1 with support for 4k 120Hz.

Another leak has now shown that the iPhone 12 may have liDAR hardware. The revolutionary tech once only available on the iPad pro may now be available in a device small enough to fit into your pocket. Along with the back panel leak has come some specifications. Apple has finally jumped on the 120hz bandwagon boasting it as their own '120hz ProMotion' technology.

Nvidia just killed their 20 series gpus. With the release of the 3070, which is reported to be better than the 2080ti, at $499 they have basically made most GPUs obsolete. The new Ampere architecture allows for a doubling of transistors. These extra transistors are a huge deal, leading to a literal DOUBLING in the cuda core count. With the 3070, the lower end of the 30 series, outperforming the most high end card of the 20 series we have to wonder what Nvidia is planning. According to Nvidia, the 20 series sales were less than impressive. The low sales led Nvidia to believe they needed a bigger jump in performance to lead consumers to their GPUs. All I can say to that is that I'm 100% going to end up buying a 30 series card upon release.

Asus has released the world's first 360hz gaming display, the Asus PG259QN. Although this is a large jump from the average 244hz monitor most people wont be able to see the difference between the 244hz and 360hz displays. Even though most people wont be able to see the difference, the most elite gamers will see legitimate performance differences when playing at the higher refresh rates. The Asus PG259QN also has G-Sync and runs 244hz at amazing quality.

Huawei has officially become the number 1 phone company in the world! In the 2nd quarter this year Huawei passed Samsung's phone shipments by 600,000. How will this impact the phone community? How long will Huawei hold their lead? It's likely that Huawei's shipments will get surpassed by Samsung next quarter with Samsung taking a 30% dip this quarter.
