Excellent customer service and data entry skills are needed for this position, bookkeeping and experience with databases is a plus. Immediate Opening for a Screen Printer

Are you creative and organized? We have the right position for you as a screen printer at Stillwater Printing in Stillwater, MN. The position is full time Monday through Friday but we are willing to work with any schedule, even part time. We offer a competitive wage and full benefits: paid vacation, health, dental, vision, life and short term disability and 401(k).

The responsibilities of the screen printer are ordering apparel, checking in the orders, finishing orders on time, ordering supplies for the printing process and making sure screens are clean and ready to use as well as printing and packaging orders . You will be printing on a manual or automatic press or heat press. This position requires the ability to stand for your shift and work with little supervision.

No experience? No problem! We offer on the job paid training!

The person we are looking for must be personable and motivated to meet goals and expectations of our customers. A person who is clean, organized with a good eye for detail and quality will excel in this position. A good work ethic, strong attendance and being a good communicator is also important.

We have a full time Graphic Designer position open at our Stillwater, MN location!

The person we are looking for:
• Personable and motivated to meet the goals and expectations of our wide range of customers and those of our company.
• Strong customer service skills a must as you will be working directly with clients.
• A person with an eye for detail and quality.
• Motivated and willing to learn.
• Experience and knowledge of the Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of digital and offset file setup and output very helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Designing custom print jobs for both digital and offset presses and screen printing.
• Meeting tight deadlines while producing quality work.
• Creating a variety of products including brochures, business cards, direct mail, artwork for screen printing, full color programs, business forms and countless other projects.
• Maintaining an established electronic filing system.
• Working with customer supplied files from both PC and Mac environments.
• Helping out in other areas such as answering phones, occasional filing, helping in production as well as helping customers.

Funeral Arrangements for Milt Helmer

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 2 pm at the English Lutheran Church, 229 W Main Street Ellsworth, WI and streamed live through the link just below the obituary on Bakken-Young's website. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 12 – 4 pm with a Masonic Service at 4 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 805 E Division Street River Falls, WI and on Sunday from 1-2 pm at the church.

It is with great sadness, but fond memories, we regret to inform our customers and colleagues of the passing of Milt Helmer on Saturday, February 18, 2023. We lost him due to a heart condition. Simply said he put his heart into everything he did during his life and it finally had nothing left to give so he left us for a place that needed him more. We will miss his smile, his laughter, his caring questions, and his willingness to help whenever asked.

Milt, or “Uncle Milt” as we (Scott, Jenny, and I) referred to him long before we became part of Helmer Printing, was an outstanding mentor and business partner. He was a fantastic uncle as well.

Long before I sat in on his training sessions on how to sell advertising and printing, I would sit across from him at family dinners and enjoy his wonderful stories and good natured humor. One of the earliest memories was waiting impatiently as a 7-year-old at our home for Uncle Milt to come over because he promised to be the umpire for our ball game.

Among his many talents was cartooning and free-hand sign painting. He was extremely artistic and had a flair for creating successful advertising campaigns. He also had a flair for pulling a prank or two on some of his closest friends and relatives in his younger days.

Milt was generous with his time for others and civic organizations. He was a leader in the Free Paper Industry and was often looked upon for answers and ideas. Countless times our phone would ring in Beldenville, and an owner or publisher of an Independent Free Paper from anywhere across North America would ask to speak to Milt to help them solve an issue they were having with their company. No matter how tired he was from a long day tending to his Helmer Printing duties he would take the call and do whatever he could to help.

Milt cared deeply about local businesses being successful and made sure it was a theme we built Helmer Printing upon. His deep devotion to business is rivaled only by his care and love for his family.

We miss you Milt. God Bless You! Greet Grandma Gertrude and Grandpa Clayton for us. I am sure they are waiting to tell you how proud they are of you.

Responsibilities include setting up files in InDesign and digital output per job specifications, maintaining quality of product throughout the production run, willingness to learn new equipment and procedures, performing routine maintenance on machines and troubleshooting issues and graphic design as needed. Knowledge of wide format and digital printers and printing on various substrates helpful.
