A policy document in a shared folder is not much help when somebody is deciding whether to approve a purchase, invoice, work, or dispatch a person or equipment to a job.
The useful part of an AI workflow is not having it make the decision. It is pulling the right approved policy, showing the source, flagging the conflict, and routing the call to the person who owns it. AI can help make critical decisions from things that are not directly in a database or system.
But be careful. If it cannot show where the answer came from, understand user permissions, and leave a record, it should not be making recommendations around important work. Also, for some, that information needs to stay in your own data center or office, not get sent to some AI company.
That is the bar we use before connecting AI to internal procedures.
