InterFuze is officially certified at CMMC Level 2!

Our team passed its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 audit with zero findings! Achieving CMMC Level 2 is a massive milestone, especially with the November 2026 deadline for mandatory third-party certifications rapidly approaching.

InterFuze is excited to function as an SDVOSB prime in support of subcontractors who are still awaiting certification. We are also able to partner with larger organizations that seek subcontractors who are already fully CMMC-compliant ahead of the November 2026 deadline.

InterFuze’s Vice President of Information Technology, Jeff Walker, stated, “Our team has seen its share of audits and framework migrations, but the road to CMMC was a different beast. It wasn't just about ‘checking boxes’ — it was about a fundamental shift in how we protect Controlled Unclassified Information and support our nation's defense supply chain.”

In an era where cyber threats against the Defense Industrial Base are evolving daily, "good enough" isn't enough. By meeting Level 2 standards, we aren't just staying eligible for Government contracts — we are proving to our partners and the nation that we are a trusted, secure link in the chain.

What did this journey look like for us?

• 110 NIST SP 800-171 Controls: From advanced access control to incident response, we mapped and verified every single requirement.
• System Security Plan: We built a comprehensive blueprint of our environment that reflects our complex daily operations.
• Culture Shift: Security isn’t just "an IT thing" at our organization. It’s fully ingrained in our company culture through continuous awareness and rigorous policy adherence.

Our independent audit was led by Gray Analytics, an authorized C3PAO (CMMC Third Party Assessment Organization), officially accredited by the Cyber AB. Utilizing a trusted C3PAO to perform a rigorous and unbiased compliance verification enabled InterFuze to ensure complete adherence to the required standards.

A huge shoutout to InterFuze's team for the long hours spent on gap analysis, remediation, and evidence gathering. This was a true cross-functional victory! 🚀 Onward to the next challenge.

Several InterFuze team members attended the annual member meeting for the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) and Medical CBRN Defense Consortium (MCDC), where they engaged in an informative program focused on advancing defense against weapons of mass destruction and supporting CBRN mission areas.

Our staff shared its expertise during poster and networking sessions, spotlighting our contributions as a prime contractor for the Man-Portable Radiological Detection System (MRDS) prototype integration effort for the CWMD.

We also highlighted the role of our systems integration laboratories (SILs), showcasing how they accelerate our current projects and help scout emergent technologies that can be seamlessly integrated into forward-focused product and solution sets.

Our SILs feature fully equipped network testbeds and scalable space to support large system configurations, collaborative team testing, and high-impact demonstration events. We maintain strong relationships with leading CBRNE OEMs and vendors to identify and integrate emerging technologies that align with the evolving needs of JPEO‑CBRND and its product lines.

We’ve proudly supported the CWMD through its OTA for years—and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of defense technology to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

InterFuze Awarded JPEO-CBRND IDIQ — GSA recently notified InterFuze that we are an awardee on a U.S. Army Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Defense (CBRND) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

The purpose of this multiple-award IDIQ is to provide JPEO-CBRND and their mission partners with a contract vehicle for rapid acquisition of brand name supplies. The U.S. Army JPEO CBRND is the Joint Service’s leader for development, acquisition, fielding, and life-cycle support of CBRND and medical countermeasures. Their vision is a resilient Joint Force enabled to fight and win unencumbered by a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear environment — championed by commercial innovative and state of the-art products.

InterFuze supported the previous three iterations of this IDIQ as a small business prime, dating back to 2010. The current contract has a $500M ceiling and option years may run through 2030. We are pleased to continue our support for this mission and congratulate the other awardees for this effort.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) awarded InterFuze a contract for Link-16 Alaska (LAK) Contractor Logistics Services (CLS) — LAK CLS supports Multi-Service Commands and Allied Forces as well as homeland defense missions. This program contributes to U.S. security by providing a secure, jam-resistant Link-16 network that accurately promulgates the radar air picture to fighter aircraft operating in the austere Alaskan air space.

Our tasks as the prime contractor will include system installation, sustainment, maintenance, repairs, help desk operation, cybersecurity, systems and software engineering services, test and development support, warehousing and property management, training, and program management.

The award of LAK expands on InterFuze's existing footprint of supporting essential tactical data link projects, such as our long-standing efforts on the Pocket J CLS program. We are honored to continue to support mission-critical defense operations that enhance our nation's security.

We are delighted to announce that InterFuze has been acquired by Daniel M. Gade, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with decades of experience in public and professional service.

Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1992. After graduating from West Point in 1997, he served for 20 years as an Armor officer. During his service, he was wounded in action twice and decorated for valor. After recovering from very serious wounds, he earned a master’s and PhD from the University of Georgia and led the veterans policy portfolio on the White House Domestic Policy Council. He also taught public policy, economics, American politics, and research methods at the United States Military Academy.

After retiring from military service, he served at the U.S. Department of Labor as a political appointee in the first Trump Administration, taught at American University, ran for statewide office in Virginia, and served as the Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.

Daniel will serve as CEO in our new corporate structure. Our team is immensely excited about the next chapters of InterFuze under his guidance. Mr. Ted Baudendistel, a key member of InterFuze leadership since the company’s founding, will serve as the company’s President.

InterFuze will soon be certified as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and we look forward to continuing our exceptional service to our customers around the globe.

InterFuze wins $20.8M DCRF task order — InterFuze will continue to perform Contractor Logistics Services (CLS) for the Defense CBRN Response Force (DCRF). The DCRF is responsible for conducting CBRN response operations in support of civil authorities. DCRF's goals are to save lives, prevent further injury, and provide temporary critical support to enable community recovery.

Our team has had the privilege of managing CLS for DCRF since 2013. Our continuing objective is to sustain and refresh equipment sets utilized by the DCRF in response missions. These set types include Urban Search and Rescue (US&R), Mass Casualty Decontamination (MCD) with General Purpose Forces (GPF), reconnaissance, medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Mortuary Affairs and Contaminated Remains Mitigation Site (MACRMS). We perform CLS across the nation at various DCRF unit locations — as well as at our Edgewood, Maryland warehouse.

The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO CBRND) issued this task order award under the Joint Enterprise, Contracted Logistics and Services Support (JE-CLaSS II) contract. InterFuze will continue to build on our decade of support for the DCRF program through 2026, if all option years are awarded.
