Good morning one and all,

I look back over the years that we spent together gaming. I remember all the trials and tribulations that we've been through. All the fun and all the wonderful people we've met. Most of all, I remember the family I've made. I can't say that 2017 was our banner year, for I believe it was actually 2016. Ray, I can't tell you how wonderful it has been getting to know you, truly an honor.

Kevin and I started this shindig to help gaming in this region. We had hoped Texicon would prosper and grow into a regional event with thousands of people from all over. It was not in the cards. I do think we accomplished our goal which was to help the gaming community in this region and strengthen it. With Kevin deciding to take a step back we realized that we had to turn the convention over to the magnates and give them the opportunity to take it where we couldn't. but that didn't work either. We have the right formula and the right people for many of the years that we were in existence, but whatever we did we just couldn't make it fire on all cylinders. As a formal announcement I wanted to let everyone know that this was Texicon's last year.

I put the old website back up in case anyone wants some of the photos or programs. I'll keep it up for a bit and then we'll close that down too.

The best part for me was that I got to do a project with me twin. Brother I love ya, thanks for a GREAT 9 years!

To everyone who attended I want to thank all the folks who donated prize support. I want to thank the Infinity, war-machine guys, Warhammer 40k organizer, and the Horus Heresy folks for putting on a great tournament. I have a confession. I had a spy in your group of players (Warmachine). I had a friend in the War-machine Tournament who had only great things to say about the Tournament. To all the Miniatures, Board game, and Roleplaying GM's YOU ROCK. It's been a pleasure posting for you this last year. Due to disagreements of a personal nature I'm stepping away. The parties involved know the dealio. So stepping away this is my last post. It's been my pleasure to post for ya'll the last year. I hope you enjoyed the posts as much as I did finding them. We had a previous con head who when he left trashed the Texicon website. Know that I am leaving on amicable terms and hope you continue to attend Texicon but I don't feel I can continue in my present service. It's been a pleasure and I hope to see you at many conventions in the future.

Game Classy,

Brian Guarnieri
