Pushed off the bank and realized I’d forgotten the water.Wasn’t about to turn around.

The ITEHIL Mini was clipped to the boat, so I filled straight from the lake, filtered it, topped up my bottle and kept paddling.

Found a quiet spot to camp, tied off, tried for a fish, and got a fire going.

Filtered some more water for cooking. Cooked up whatever I had.Fish never showed, but dinner did.

August is National Water Quality Month. Out here, water quality looks a little different.

There's the creek along the trail. The lake beside camp. The water source that wasn't on the original route.

Not every water stop comes with a tap but it still needs to be taken seriously.

That's the thinking behind the ITEHIL RO.Go farther. Know what's going into the bottle.

The lake’s a lot lower than it was in July. Longer walk to the water. More reason to pay attention to what’s actually in the lake.

The ITEHIL Mini takes care of the filtration. No guessing at refills.

Up in Northumberland with no real plans. 36°C outside, and the van’s holding onto every bit of the heat.

We run the ITEHIL Solar Fan on low, pointed at the bed. Timer shuts it off after we crash.

We just fold it up and take it outside when the midges come out.

Where are you off to this summer?☀️🚐

Not every water source looks like drinking water.Sometimes it looks like this.

Found a creek up the trail. Filtered some water and settled in for a while. Cold water, quiet trail, nowhere else to be.

Would you drink this if it was your only water source? No chance.

But out there, sometimes that’s all you get.

Fill it up, hit the button, and let it run. And once the water’s sorted, it can still pull its weight around camp — light when it gets dark, backup power when something needs a charge.

Hopefully, water like this stays a worst-case scenario. Still, nice to know this mini filter is there.

Some of the best August campsites are the ones without a water hookup.

A nearby creek, lake, or river can become part of your setup with the ITEHIL portable RO system.

Turns out, the places worth staying usually aren’t the ones with hookups.

Found a new trail and ended up hiking a lot farther than planned.

We just carried enough water to get to the first creek. After that, the Mini filter stayed clipped to the pack, so we filled up and kept moving.

Didn‘t really think about water again after that.

Friday prep: rig’s packed, road‘s calling.
Water ready. Batteries charged. Trailer ready.

No hookups. No rush. Just quiet lakeside shore and a little more time outside.

Muddy paws. Dusty bikes.Sandy gear.
All cleaned off with a portable shower before the mess makes its way inside the RV.

No permanent setup. No clutter. Just a quick rinse, pack it away, and keep exploring.

What’s one piece of gear in your rig that turned out to be way more useful than expected?
