Kate Ahn Design As an Iowa City-based artist and graphic designer, I love modern design, organic forms, clean aesthetic, and the color turquoise. Hello!

I’m Kate Ahn, a graphic designer and artist. After gaining years of experience as an Art Director at a marketing group, I now freelance for select clients and businesses. I also volunteer my time and skills to The Iowa Children’s Museum as part of their Volunteer Guild Board. I would love to discuss your project needs, whether they are personal or business! My specialties include:

If you are the photo taker, this is your PSA to start pulling favorite photos from the past year and making your sentimental photo holiday gifts now. I have a new photo calendar available , Currier, that is perfect for this. My sister-in-law (hi 🖤) started the tradition of giving photo calendars at Christmas and we joined her soon after - they are everyone’s favorite gifts to receive and look at throughout the year!

Mirin wedding invitation suite for is easily the favorite this year. A little behind the scenes: for stationery designers who need to create new and fresh work year after year, fonts are probably the most important element to set the tone and style. We want our work to be current but stand apart from everything else. Finding this script font that had launched right before the wedding challenge closed last year felt like discovering treasure as it is exactly what I’d been wishing for and I knew it would be unique from anything else. It made the entire suite come together effortlessly. I love seeing it across every piece of stationery from the save the date, to the invitation suite, to the day-of pieces. Mirin was also launched in foil and letterpress. An immediate classic!
