Powering a Home Completely Off-Grid

This SunGoldPower customer is running a 600 sq. ft. home completely off-grid with 8 × 415W solar panels, an SPH8K48SP inverter, and 3 × SG48100P batteries.

The system powers full-size appliances, a water pump, power tools, and everyday household electrical needs.

The system has been running well, and the customer plans to add another string of solar panels and an additional battery to account for frequent rain in the area.

With a second tiny home also planned for an electrical upgrade, the customer says SunGoldPower will be their choice again.

A 6.46kW Solar Setup in Daily Use

This home solar setup combines 12 × 415W and 4 × 370W SunGoldPower mono solar panels for a total capacity of 6.46kW.

With about 6–7 hours of direct sunlight per day, the system reaches about 90% of its rated power during peak sunlight and generates approximately 25–30kWh per day.

That’s enough to recharge a 30kWh battery bank and help meet the customer’s peak daily energy needs during the summer.
