🎉 30 years of Cybernet Manufacturing!❤️

Three decades of innovation, teamwork, and incredible people!

On Friday, October 16, our Irvine team came together to celebrate Cybernet's 30th anniversary.

It was a chance to look back on our journey and how far we've come, building computing solutions for healthcare, industrial, and other mission-critical environments since 1996.

We especially celebrate all the people who made it possible, ranging from longtime team members who've stuck with us through thick and thin, to new hires still in their first week of training. We're grateful to all of you as part of the Cybernet family. 🥳

Here's to 30 years of memories, milestones, and many more to come! 🙌

Is that computer really "medical-grade"? 🏥

Many vendors use the term, but few can back it up. Before your hospital or medical groups commits to new computers, verify they're medical-grade:

âś… Does it carry IEC 60601 certification?
âś… Is it sealed against spills and frequent cleanings (strong IP rating)?
âś… Does it use fanless cooling to limit dust and pathogens?
âś… Does it support DICOM and work with your EHR?
âś… Can I test a demo unit under real conditions?
âś… Do the tablets survive drops, and do touchscreens work through gloves and when wet?

Hot-swappable batteries and ergonomic carts also keep your clinical staff productive and comfortable.

Our infographics provide a checklist on what to ask and look for when researching a medical-grade PC.

Why are older ports still used on modern industrial computers? 🔌

Does your plant run as well as you think it does? 🏭

Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) shows you how. It scores your equipment on three factors: availability, speed, and quality. Multiply them together, and you get a clear picture of where your operation stands.

Most manufacturers score between 40% and 65%; 85% marks optimal performance.

Industrial-grade computers are essential to track OEE. They can handle vibration, extreme temperatures, dust, and electromagnetic interference of most operations, and have the right ports to connect with both new and legacy machinery. Simply define your parameters and the let sensors collect the data automatically for the computers.

Electricity keeps our modern world moving, but our current power grids are facing unprecedented strain. ⚡

Reasons are numerous. Rapid industrial electrification and the massive power demands of the ongoing AI data center buildout are pushing systems to their limits. Consumers are using -- and keeping on -- their ACs longer to deal with climate change. And to make matters more challenging, much of the infrastructure is 50 to 75 years old, leaving plants vulnerable to costly maintenance, cyber threats, and unpredictable outages.

The solution is smart grid technology. By integrating advanced software and hardware tools, power plant operators can take complete control over energy distribution. Already, key smart grid technologies are already making a difference:

* Smart Meters: These devices replace traditional mechanical options to record and send electricity usage data in real time.
* Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs): Tools that help power companies manage electrical flow and quickly pinpoint breakdowns.
* Distributed Energy Resources: Localized setups, like microgrids and rooftop solar panels, that keep localized networks running even during grid brown/blackouts.

The advantages are incredible:

* Major Cost Savings: Real-time tracking helps consumers cut energy usage by 5-10%, while predictive maintenance prevents unexpected, expensive downtime.
* Flexible Distribution: Systems automatically route and store renewable energy, like wind and solar.
* Improved Resilience & Security: Decentralized grids can prevent widespread blackouts, while industrial edge computers protect endpoints with built-in encryption and advanced access controls.

Upgrading old power grids requires specialized hardware built to survive the most demanding environments. At Cybernet, we design rugged industrial computers engineered with a sub-0.5% annual failure rate to ensure your grid transition stays up and running 24/7.

"You’re moving the economy." 🤍

That’s what our FedEx Freight driver told one of our team members this week when asked if he was staying busy.

Honestly, his words stuck with us all day.

It was a fine compliment. We're proud of our products, with every single pallet leaving our Irvine, California facility built right here in the US. 🏥📦.

Yet building this technology is only half the journey. An incredible, dedicated network of people are needed to actually deliver to our customers. The FedEx driver and his colleagues are a vital, often unsung part of that massive logistic network. We often get so caught up in our daily manufacturing routines that we forget how connected we all truly are.

So this post is a huge THANK YOU to all the drivers on the roads, our partners, and our internal team for everything you do to in keeping us moving forward! ✨

We're so excited to share some big news! 🎉

Back in August, we told you we were building a new production floor at Cybernet HQ in Irvine, California. Well, it's finished, and it looks stunning (if we do say so).

We've also expanded the Cybernet "family" with new production and quality control team members during construction. With the new floor and added work capacity, we can now build 1,000 more units each month to keep up with the growing demand for our healthcare and industrial products.

Take a look at the photos. Curious how it all came together? Read here:

Manufacturing Month is here! 🏭

The first Friday of October is Manufacturing Day, kicking off a month-long celebration of the people, technologies, and ideas that continue to change the way we manufacture in the modern world.

And manufacturing has come a long way.

Today’s factories are increasingly connected, automated, and data-driven. Smart factories bring sensors, gateways, industrial computers, robotics, and automation together to turn data into finished goods and services with minimal human involvement.

Industrial computers plays an important part of that process. They help collect and process data from equipment, support automated tasks, and give workers the ability to monitor operations locally or remotely.

That can mean greater efficiency, improved safety, and more consistent product quality.

For Manufacturing Day and into Manufacturing Month, Cybernet Manufacuturing celebrates the technology and the people building the future of manufacturing. 🙌

Supported by reliable industrial computers and fed a steady stream of data, smart factory technology can revolutionize the processes of mid-level manufacturers.

No two patients are exactly alike, but treatment plans have usually been designed for the "average" patient. Personalized healthcare may change all that, driven by technologies like medical computers and AI. đź’™

Here's how:

🔹 Bedside monitoring: Medical-grade tablets and computers can collect real-time data from monitoring devices, right at the patient's bedside.

🔹 DNA sequencing: As sequencing gets faster and cheaper, providers can build care plans around a patient's unique genetic makeup.

🔹 AI-assisted analysis: AI can look at symptoms, health history, and genetic data all at once, helping teams create treatment plans in much less time.

🔹 Precision treatments: Gene-based therapies, bacteriophage therapy, and AI-powered drug discovery are making it possible to develop treatments tailored to individual patients, faster and at lower cost.

The payoff? Better outcomes for patients, earlier detection of disease, and fewer repeat tests and missed diagnoses. 🙌

Of course, all of this relies on sensitive patient data and serious computing power. That's where purpose-built medical computers come in, with features like dedicated GPUs for edge computing and built-in security such as Imprivata SSO and RFID-based access control.

So we're curious: how is your organization getting ready for personalized care? Tell us in the comments! 👇
