This is a fascinating article about how programming has changed and continues to evolve over time. When I started programming, I used pencil and paper. Now, we tell a computer to program for us. The code written by AI isn't perfect and we still have to check its work, but I haven't told Claude Code that its output is "unacceptable and embarrassing.” Apparently, scolding AI works and makes it try harder.

In the era of A.I. agents, many Silicon Valley programmers are now barely programming. Instead, what they’re doing is deeply, deeply weird.

I'm back! After being out for an extended medical leave, I'm slowly returning to my regular office schedule. When Elemental Methods was founded over 15 years ago, we focused on the implementation of innovative technologies and processes to spur growth and provide value to our clients. Our growth and endurance are proof that we met, and continue to meet, that objective. As a founder, I never put much thought into whether it could be done without me. Fortunately, we passed that test with flying colors. In the hands of our experienced team, we never missed a deadline, met all of our objectives, and continued to build customer success. I'd like to thank Ann Farrish Christopher, Abhishek Mishra, and Mayur M***a for stepping up to ensure that our firm never missed a beat!

Attending the “All Hands Meeting” for the Gulf of Mexico Alliance. We’ll be demonstrating two new applications - “GulfSeeLife” (a cloud-curated citizen science app for recording observations of fish, birds, marine mammals, and plants along the Gulf of Mexico), and the “Coastal Homeowner Resilience Application” (a disaster preparedness application for coastal residents).The campus has grown a lot since my school days.

During her 28-year career, Vaughan prepared for the introduction of computers in the early 1960s by teaching herself and her staff the programming language of Fortran. She later headed the programming section of the Analysis and Computation Division (ACD) at Langley.
