Happy December! The year is coming to a close, and we are seeing a proliferation of autonomous vehicles as we move into 2026:

Delivery by driverless car? Waymo is partnering with DoorDash to pilot robotic delivery, a sign that autonomous tech is moving beyond rides.

Is this a good thing for restaurants and consumers?

Waymo has spent the past several years scaling up its robotaxi business. The partnership with DoorDash could mark a return to delivery.

Happy Earth Day from Tech Mafia! Here's a tip to help you go green.

If you're replacing old computers, printers, or networking gear this year, don't toss them in the trash. Electronic waste contains materials that are harmful to the environment and should be handled properly.

Our Earth Day advice: recycle your tech the right way.
- Use a certified e-waste recycler
- Wipe all data before disposal
- Remove and destroy hard drives if you're unsure
- Check for local drop-off events in King County

Mixing work and personal devices might seem convenient, but it’s a major security risk. Using your personal phone or laptop for work-related tasks can expose sensitive company data to malware, phishing scams, and unauthorized access.

Use company-managed devices whenever possible, as they have security protections in place. Avoid using personal email for work, since forwarding work emails to a personal inbox can expose data to less secure networks. If you must use a personal device for work, make sure it has strong security settings, up-to-date software, and multi-factor authentication enabled.
