Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking Level I and II positions and will install/perform breakfix with remote supervision: cable pathway systems, firestop systems, various electronic components, the various cable types that include but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, coax, power limited tray cable, stranded cable and solid conductor low voltage cable. Cable installation includes placement, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation.
These include:
Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks, or D-rings).
Install, terminate, test, label & document horizontal, backbone & other cables.
Dress & route cable into telecoms closets, modular furniture & other work area outlets.
Build out telecom & equipment rooms.
Firestop various types of cable penetrations.
Test, troubleshoot, & document test results for cabling.
Possess working knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards & the National Electric Code.
Understands, adheres to, & promotes the Environmental, Health & Safety policies of CORE Values Consulting & Solutions.
Perform/prepare timely field reporting of the assets used as required.
Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
A valid driver's license.
Organizational skills.
A High School Diploma or equivalent. (Vocational/Technical/Business School strongly preferred.)
Customer service skills.
Ability to read Blue Prints
Ability to travel overnight
Strong mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills.
The ability to think critically and problem solve.
The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
The desire to become proficient and increase profitability.
Comprehension of the terminology about the installation and service of telecommunication, data, security, and wireless systems.
Comprehension of standard telecommunication, data, security, wireless systems practices, engineering, federal, state, and local safety standards.
The ability to pass applicable state and federal background checks to become a registered security installer.
Work Requirements:
Use of small hand tools.
Use of power tools.
Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts & rooftops utilizing proper fall protection.
Carrying of loads up & downstairs.
Must work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Travel Percentage: 75%.
Cell phone reimbursement.
Must be willing to work overtime up to 20%.
Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation and also pass a drug screening.
