🎃 Happy Halloween from Great Lakes Generators! 👻

For the second year, we had the pleasure of providing hay rides for the Holley Institute - Family Village in Brooklyn during their ASL Immersion Weekend! 🤟🍂

We had a few tractor complications that put a wrench in our traditional hay ride plans this year… but thankfully, the GLG truck saved the day! 🛻💪

We’re always grateful for the opportunity to support our local community, make some memories, and have a little fun along the way.

Happy Halloween! 🎃🧡

Yesterday, our very own Celia Croff was interviewed by WILX News10 out of Lansing about something that means a lot to us — the future of the skilled trades.

As a small, family-owned business, we experience firsthand the challenges that come with the growing shortage of skilled trades professionals as more experienced workers reach retirement age. We also know just how much opportunity there is for the next generation to build incredible, well-paying careers in these fields.

When we started Great Lakes Generators, we took a chance on building something of our own. As we've grown, we've seen just how important it is to not only grow our business, but also help encourage more people to consider careers in the trades and create opportunities for those who want to learn.

We're incredibly proud to have our little family business be part of a much bigger conversation about the future of Michigan's skilled workforce. ❤️⚡

Thank you to News 10 Lansing for giving Celia the opportunity to share our perspective!

Before Great Lakes Generators, before the service calls, installations, long days, and growing business… there was Kenny & Celia.

Today, we’re celebrating the 8th wedding anniversary of Great Lakes Generators owners, Kenny & Celia Croff! 🎉

Eight years ago, they had no idea where life would take them. Since then, they’ve moved across the country to North Carolina, welcomed their first son, RJ, moved back home to Michigan, and decided to take a chance on each other by building Great Lakes Generators from the ground up.

What started as a leap of faith has grown into a family business they’re incredibly proud of — and along the way, their family grew again with the addition of their second son, JD. ❤️

Owning a business, raising two boys, and building a life together means every day is an adventure — but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Today, we’re taking a moment away from generators to celebrate the two people behind the business.

🥂 Happy 8th Anniversary, Kenny & Celia! Here’s to the family, the business, the adventures, and everything still to come.

🍂 A little work + a little family time = the perfect Michigan work-cation! ⚡️

We’ve been busy behind the scenes at Great Lakes Generators, working on some exciting things as we begin expanding into new areas across the great state of Michigan!

This weekend took us all the way to Petoskey, where we had the opportunity to set a new whole-home standby generator for a customer. 💪⚡️

Since we’re a family-owned business, we decided to make a weekend out of it! Between getting the job done, we squeezed in some camping, horseback riding, family time, and of course, enjoyed the incredible Northern Michigan fall colors. 🍁🐴🏕️

There’s something pretty special about growing a business that allows us to serve homeowners across Michigan while making memories together along the way.

Petoskey — thanks for having us! And stay tuned… Great Lakes Generators may be coming to an area near you sooner than you think. 👀⚡️
