Launch of the iPhone 17 Pro Max: Power and Professional Projection
At its much-anticipated “Awe Dropping” event on September 9, 2025, Apple introduced the iPhone 17 Pro Max, its most advanced model to date, redefining standards in performance, battery life, and cinematic capabilities.
Revolutionary Design and Build
The device features a heat-forged unibody aluminum frame, optimized for better heat dissipation while remaining strong and lightweight. It also incorporates Ceramic Shield 2 on the front (3× more scratch resistant) and Ceramic Shield on the back, offering 4× better crack resistance.
Unmatched Power: A19 Pro
Inside is the new A19 Pro (3 nm) chip, paired with an Apple-designed v***r chamber to sustain top performance. Benchmarks show its six-core GPU delivering up to 40% faster graphics, while the CPU improves by around 20%.
Professional-Grade Cameras
The iPhone 17 Pro Max features a triple 48 MP Fusion camera system: wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto, achieving up to 8× optical zoom—the highest ever on an iPhone. The 18 MP front camera with Center Stage ensures perfectly framed selfies and video calls.
Tools for Creators
Apple added professional-level video features such as ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock, enabling the iPhone to sync with other professional equipment. The new Dual Capture function records with the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Battery Built for Marathons
With the largest battery ever in an iPhone, the Pro Max offers up to 39 hours of video playback. It also supports faster charging with 25 W via MagSafe (Qi 2.2 standard).
Brighter and Sharper Display
The Pro models retain their familiar 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch sizes, but now reach 3,000 nits peak brightness and support ProMotion up to 120 Hz, improving both visibility and smoothness.
Expanding eSIM Adoption
Apple continues its shift to eSIM-only models in more countries, including the Pro and Pro Max, while the new iPhone Air becomes eSIM-only worldwide.
