I just went through my iPhone and locked it down as described in this article. I recommend that anyone with an iPhone does the same. You will be amazed at the amount of data your phone is sharing every second of the day. Do install duckduckgo and ad block plus as well.

Privacy is a central part of Apple’s marketing campaigns and it sounds great in the company’s ads and product announcements. But actually making things as private as possible on Apple devices does require a bit of effort and time.
