Tuesday Insight | The One Upgrade that Changed our Kitchen Remodel the Most
My wife Julie and I recently completed a full kitchen remodel. We love the cabinets, countertops, and appliances—but one of our favorite parts isn't something most people notice right away.
It's the lighting.
Replacing our old fixtures with thoughtfully designed lighting and the right color temperatures completely changed how the space feels. The kitchen is brighter when we're starting the day, warm and inviting in the evening, and the finishes finally look the way they were meant to.
That experience reinforced something I've believed for years: In luxury home design, few things have a greater impact on how a home feels than properly designed lighting.
For decades, lighting in homes was designed around one question: "Is it bright enough?" Today, the better question is: "How should this room feel at this time of day?"
That's where tunable white lighting comes in.
Imagine your home automatically providing crisp, cooler light in the morning to help you wake up and stay alert, then gradually transitioning to warmer light in the evening to encourage your body to relax and prepare for sleep. That's lighting designed to work with your natural circadian rhythm—not against it.
The result isn't just a more beautiful home.
It's a home that feels more comfortable, supports your daily routine, and quietly improves the way you live.
As a 24-year CEO & Founder of a luxury smart home systems company, I was reminded in my own home that the best technology isn't always the most impressive. Sometimes it's just great lighting.
Because luxury isn't just about how a home looks. It's about how it makes you feel.
