I’ve had clients come in with a very specific idea of what they want their website to look like — colors, fonts, a logo, a whole aesthetic. They’re convinced they don't need a rebrand.
And then I start asking questions.
We start pulling apart who they are.
And by the time we’re finished with the strategy, they’re often completely rethinking that original brand identity. Not because their original idea was “wrong.” But because we uncovered something deeper.
There is SO much that can shift in those initial stages, which is why I require us to start with the identity. I've had a client go from "I hate yellow" to choosing a buttery soft shade of creamy yellow in their palette. I've had another trash her own Pinterest board after we presented concepts. Most of the time - we present something they've never pictured for themselves, then we explain the reasoning, meaning, and intention behind it, and everything starts to click.
When you build from depth, instead of personal preference alone, everything starts to have a reason for being there.
I’m not just trying to create a website for you that looks good. I'm creating brands first because it's the only thing to build from.
