🟠 We want to proactively let you know there is a nationwide network outage currently impacting service for customers on Verizon.
🟠 What to expect
You may experience slow speeds, intermittent connectivity, or no connection in some areas. This is a carrier side issue affecting many users nationwide, not isolated to OTR Mobile. Additionally, when a major carrier has service issues, traffic often shifts to other networks, so some customers on other carriers may also see slower speeds or congestion at times today due to increased overall network demand.
🔵 What we’re doing
We are actively monitoring the situation and working with Verizon channels to track restoration progress. This is being addressed with urgency by both OTR Mobile and Verizon.
🔵 Resolution
At this time we expect 90% or more of our customers to be online with stable connectivity by 9 pm eastern tonight.
🔵 What you can try right now (optional):
👉 Power cycle your device (turn off for 1 minute, then turn back on)
👉 If the issue persists, wait 30 minutes and retry (carrier restoration often occurs in waves)
