Bags packed and ready to go — we’re starting the day with a quick service stop in Johnstown, then heading to Hyndman for an onsite PS5 repair. Today’s task is a fan connector pulled from the board, a clean micro‑soldering fix to keep that console running cool and quiet.

And don’t worry — Dellano will be opening the store at normal time, holding things down while we’re on the road.

📱 Another Save by StatTech – Pixel 4 Data Recovery

This Pixel 4 came in by referral from another local repair shop, bricked in an infinite bootloop with no access to the customer’s data. Software recovery failed.

We pulled the board, found shorted caps around the CPU, removed the CPU, hand‑reballed the BGA with no stencil, reinstalled it, restored a successful boot, and recovered 100% of the customer’s data
And to Keystone Micro Soldering and Advance Micro — Rookies don’t hand‑reball Pixel CPUs with full data recovery. 😉

The mystery of the PS5 with no display… solved.

This console came in from one of Johnstown’s Finest showing classic “no video output” symptoms. Diagnostics initially pointed to a bad HDMI port. After replacing the port, all HDMI pin diode readings were back to perfect… yet still no display.

No shorts on the caps. Zener diode readings in range. Filters tested good. Voltages normal. All diagnostics showed everything within limits.

But an old friend once taught me: “Treat the patient, not the monitor.”
Meaning—trust the symptoms, not just the meter.

So we dug deeper and replaced the HDMI encoder IC. The moment we powered it on… display restored. Another PS5 saved, and an officer back in the game.
