Our owner is currently en route to Morgantown this morning for a service call, and we’d like to share a couple quick notes with everyone.

First, we want to give a very big welcome home to Dellano Mahr. With his return, we will resume answering phone calls today and return to normal staffing operations.

We also want to take a moment to wish Brad Gaudlip and his family safe travels as they head out on vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We hope they enjoy the sunshine, the ocean, and a well‑deserved break.

And don’t miss the big Apple announcements coming today — WWDC 2026 kicks off at 1 PM, and we’re excited to see what’s next.

We’ve got the whole gang out today making the mall better — Leo, Nelson, Matt, and myself.
Everyone’s putting in the work, and later today you’ll see one of the upgrades: a brand‑new big screen TV going up above the elevator in Center Court to highlight everything the Galleria of Johnstown has to offer.

And just to paint the real picture — Leo wasn’t supervising anything from a distance. He was right in the middle of the work with us, and even stepped away to help a few people who were having trouble getting up the stairs while the elevator was tied up.
That’s the kind of leadership you can’t fake.

You’ve got more than one option for phone repair in the mall…

A Blast from the Past — iPod Touch 6th Gen Revival

Today we brought a classic back to life: an iPod Touch 6th Generation that arrived with a severely swollen battery. The swelling had so much pressure behind it that it lifted and damaged the screen on its way out.

To make things more interesting, this model doesn’t use the modern press‑fit battery connector you see in today’s iPhones. Instead, the battery is soldered directly to three pads on the logic board — and thanks to the swelling, one of those pads tore clean off.

Pad repaired.
New battery installed.
New screen installed.
And just like that, a classic is resurrected.

Yesterday, the repair benches actually went dark before midnight — a rare sight at StatTech.

No boards under the scope. No micro‑soldering marathon. No late‑night recoveries.
For once, the crew wrapped up early and crossed the Mason‑Dixon line for some well‑earned rest and relaxation in Maryland before Dellano heads to Phoenix today to break ground on StatTech Southwest.

A reset for a team that usually runs full throttle. Yesterday was the pause. Today, the work continues.
