We're seeing an increase in sophisticated phishing attacks targeting healthcare practices throughout Central New York. These emails often appear to come from trusted vendors, delivery companies, or even friends and coworkers. Their goal is simple: create urgency and get someone to click.
We recently had a client whose employee clicked on one of these emails after it appeared to come from a trusted friend whose account had been compromised. Thankfully, our endpoint protection detected the threat immediately, stopped it from executing, and automatically remediated the infection before any damage was done.
The takeaway? It only takes one click.
✔️ Slow down when an email creates urgency.
✔️ Verify unexpected requests before clicking.
✔️ Make sure your business has modern endpoint protection in place.
Don't wait until after an attack to find out whether your security is enough.
