Vibrant by Nature, Wild by Design. "Art is how I find my light, color is how I share it."

My creative journey is fueled by a deep love for the natural world and a fascination with how we communicate through visuals. Whether I am capturing the soul of wildlife in acrylics or building a strategic brand identity for a business, my goal is to find the light in every project and share it with the world.

Got some more greeting cards created! Loving how the detailed ink work looks against the bright colors.

These will be at Kindleberger on July 11th.

Which one is your favorite?

A little virtual walk through my booth. I did a trial run on Friday last week. 🎪✨

I had to go a little quick in the video. It was windy, and I wanted to get my artwork put away before anything happened. lol 🌬️

But it was so rewarding to see months of work all set up in one spot. Back in the studio today to wrap up the last batch of greeting cards and tweak the smaller table displays.

Who is coming out to see it in person next month? 🙌🎨

I spent the afternoon setting up my booth on my back patio to make sure everything would hang and look how I planned in my head. I had so much fun putting it all together.

Mother Nature decided to give me a major wind test today, but thankfully the mesh walls I sewn and S-hooks held up perfectly. Definite win.

I LOVED seeing the framed pieces up gallery style, the print bins loaded, and the banner hanging makes all the hard work totally worth it.

Still need to make more greeting cards and work on the setup for the smaller tables, but it's getting there! Swipe through to see how it’s looking.

P.S. If you happen to see legs on top of the shed in the photos, you are not seeing things. That's just my son Deegan. He is trimming trees for me today. 😂🌲

My Michigan Birds Series!🌿✨
7" X 7" Fineliner Ink on Stonehenge Paper

Seeing them all together on one page makes hours of long ink sessions and tiny lines completely worth it. From capturing the bold textures of the Woodpeckers to the soft details of the Cedar Waxwing, this collection has been such a labor of love.

I am so excited to bring the entire collection out into the world!

Original art pieces and prints will be available at the Kindleberger Festival on July 11th from 9am to 3pm at Kindleberger Park in Parchment, Michigan.

If you're in the area, please come out, say hi, and see all these fine-line details in person!

✍️ In the meantime, I’d love to know: out of all 13, which one is your absolute favorite? Let me know in the comments!

We had to head out to Yankee Springs on Tuesday evening for Deegan’s mountain bike practice, and Dane and I took full advantage of the gorgeous weather to sneak away to Deep Lake while he rode.

Getting away from the drywall dust, tools, and endless basement remodel decisions, even for just a couple of hours, was a much-needed break.

The water was so peaceful, the lily pads were everywhere, and the sky looked amazing.

It was the perfect reset. Now that the batteries are recharged, I'm finally heading back into the studio today to work on more greeting cards! 🚴‍♂️🌲✨🎨

A few more of my roses are starting to open up after the recent rain.

I love having this outdoor space right now. It gives me a great place to sit and create while the chaos from the studio remodel is happening.

There is nothing better than making art and soaking up sunshine.

I have been working on some new greeting cards at my desk. It has been fun taking my black and white illustrations and pairing them with these colorful backgrounds, and I have more to come.

These will be available at the Kindleberger Summer Festival in Parchment on July 11th from 9am to 3pm.

Do you have a favorite out of these three?

And last but not least, the Downy Woodpecker completes my Michigan Birds series.

Thank you all so much for following along with this collection. It has been such a joy to draw these native birds. Which one from the series ended up being your favorite? perfect backdrop for this little woodpecker's patterned wings and soft feathers.

Next up in my Michigan Birds series is the White-breasted Nuthatch.

These little birds have so much personality, and they are always a favorite to watch at the feeders because of how they climb down trees upside down. For this piece, I really enjoyed using my fine liner ink to capture the soft, fluffy texture of its chest feathers against that solid, dark cap.

Do you get these busy little guys visiting your yard too?
