Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft. This means there will be no future security or feature updates. If you are running windows 7, consider upgrading your operating system or computer.
If you wish to continue using your Windows 7 PC, PLEASE ensure you are running antivirus and anti-malware software that is up to date. I would also highly recommend a VPN service as well. This will reduce your risk of data exposure and keep your device safe.
(I also recommend the above for all current operating systems as well).

January 14 marks end of life for Windows 7. This means security updates and bug fixes will no longer be available to users. If you are running Windows 7, your computer will still work, however security will be a concern.

I'd say this is long over due, seeing that most people roll the dice and don't properly remove USB media.

On Windows, at least, the era of living on the edge by recklessly ripping out your USB devices appears to be coming to an end.
