Big day for Stu’s Bonded Creations—I’m hosting my first officially scheduled xTool P2S demonstration today!

This is a private, pre-scheduled demonstration through the xTool Demo Room program. I’ll be showing the guest the P2S in action, discussing its features and capabilities, and answering questions based on real hands-on experience.

Big news—the new xTool P2S CO₂ laser engraver has arrived and is officially set up! 🎉

As you can see from the photos, this machine is a serious addition to the shop. Its ability to produce straight, deep, and precise cuts means I can create more than engraved pieces—I can build actual finished products.

The possibilities include:

🏠 Wall signs and wall art
🖼️ Detailed layered images
🎁 Personalized gifts
✨ And so much more!

This machine opens the door to larger, more detailed, and more complex projects - even furniture. I’m incredibly excited to start creating with it and to offer even more custom options!

🎉 New equipment day! Our xTool WonderPress arrived today—and we also have the Dual Station ready to go!

This is much more than an ordinary heat press. The 15" × 15" pressing area, automatic adjustable pressure, and temperatures up to 410°F open the door to creating:

👕 Custom T-shirts, hoodies and other clothing
👜 Tote bags and canvas projects
🛋️ Pillow covers
🧢 Fabric, felt and polyester creations
✨ HTV and DTF transfers
🖼️ Sublimation projects on compatible coated acrylic, wood, metal and ceramic blanks

The Dual Station will be especially useful: we can prepare one item while another is pressing, then slide the next station into place. That should make producing multiple shirts and other items much faster and smoother!

And this system has room to grow. With xTool’s optional modules, the WonderPress can expand into projects such as 3D sublimation, vacuum forming, DTF curing, polymer clay, shrink plastic—and even heating and bending flat acrylic into dimensional creations like stands, trays and display pieces.

We currently have the press and Dual Station, so we’re starting with heat-transfer and sublimation projects first, but acrylic bending is definitely on our future-project list!

From clothes to dimensional acrylic creations, we’re excited to see where this machine takes our creativity. Now comes the fun part: deciding what to make first! 😄

Okay, I may have added another very large toy to the workshop and I still don't know where to put it… 😄

Meet our new xTool P2S CO₂ laser!

I’m especially excited about using it to create custom wall art, layered designs, signs, home décor, and all kinds of ideas that have been living in my head waiting for the right machine.

The P2S has a workspace nearly 24 × 12 inches, but the really fun part is its automatic conveyor. It lets us work with materials up to approximately 10 feet long! I’m already imagining some seriously impressive wall art and oversized projects.

It also joins two other creative powerhouses in the workshop:

✨ The P2S for cutting and engraving wood, acrylic, and larger pieces

✨ The F2 Ultra UV for incredibly precise details on glass, crystal, acrylic, and other materials

✨ The O1 Omni Printer for adding vibrant, full-color photographs, artwork, and graphics

Together, they give us so many ways to experiment—cutting, engraving, layering, printing, and combining different materials into something completely unique.

I can’t wait to start learning, creating, and sharing what these three machines can do together!

📸 ONE PHOTO. TWO ENGRAVING STYLES. TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RESULTS.

This is something I really enjoy about photo engraving — there isn’t just one way to engrave a photograph.

These two wallet-sized cards were created from the same photo, but prepared and engraved using different approaches.

The first version was processed more heavily into an engraving-style image, using fine stippling and contrast to create that classic, highly detailed etched appearance.

The second surprised me.

Sometimes you can start with a good raw photograph, make very few adjustments, send it to the laser, and get an incredible amount of natural detail. Skin tones, tattoos, hair, clothing, shadows — even the tiny details in the baby’s face came through beautifully.

And that’s the fun part of custom engraving.

The artwork can be prepared differently depending on the photo, the material, and the look you’re after.

Some photos look amazing with a bold black-and-white treatment. Others benefit from stippling, halftones or a more traditional engraved appearance. And sometimes the photograph itself is already so good that the best choice is simply to let the laser reproduce it.

These little cards are a great example, but the same idea applies to metal, slate, wood, glass and many other engravable materials.

There isn’t always a single “best” engraving style.

Sometimes it’s about choosing the style that best fits your photo and the memory behind it.
