Kirkland Performance Center’s transformation is a great example of what can be achieved through collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to community.

BLS was proud to serve as the systems integrator for this project, delivering rigging, stage systems, lighting and controls, custom drapery, and infrastructure upgrades that help support the venue’s next chapter.

Highlights include:
• The Seattle region’s first ETC Prodigy motorized rigging installation
• North America’s first Harlequin Liberty Switch stage system
• New lighting, control, and stage infrastructure designed to support a wide range of performances and community events

When the aquarium closes, our work begins. 🌃

As the sun sets over Seattle, the lifts go up inside the Seattle Aquarium. Our rigging team recently completed the annual inspection and testing of the ETC hoists and rigging systems — an overnight effort focused on safety, reliability, and performance.

It’s the kind of work guests never see… but it’s what keeps the experience running flawlessly day after day.

Behind every seamless show system is a team making it happen after hours.

Seattle theatre, production, and live events folks — we’re hosting a rooftop social on June 29.

Stagecraft Social is a casual evening to connect with others across the live events industry outside of show mode. Whether you work in theatre, touring, concerts, corporate events, or production services, come hang out with the people who make live experiences happen.

We’ll have music, drinks, light snacks, and rooftop views at the Element Hotel Seattle — walking distance from Seattle Center.

Today is DMX Day — a nod to the technology that controls lighting and effects in concerts, theaters, attractions, museums, and immersive experiences all over the world. 🎛️💡

If you’ve ever watched lights move perfectly with music, color shifts transform a space, or a show moment hit at exactly the right second… there’s a good chance DMX was behind it.

It’s one of the invisible systems that helps turn ideas into experiences — and we’re proud to work with it every day.

It's Earth Day! 🌎 Here at BLS we take sustainability seriously.
Take a look back at some of our green-integrated event designs! Integrating hanging florals in our drapes, bamboo lanterns covered in ivy, and lantern lit forest paths.

We’re honored to share that BLS has won the 2026 ECAA Award for Best Technical Production for Jungle Party at Woodland Park Zoo.

This one was special. From over 3,500 yards of custom-fabricated drapery suspended across the tent ceilings, to engineered rigging systems supporting lighting, audio, projection, IMAG, and show control — every element had to work together as one system.

The result was an immersive environment that felt seamless to guests and supported an incredible fundraising night.
