The Board of Governors of the US Postal Service met on April 9th and discussed the Continuing Resolution recently passed to fund government operations. They regret to say Congress has prohibited the implementation of a new national delivery schedule. So, there will still be mail delivery Monday through Saturday.

USPS is announcing the end of Saturday mail service.

The U.S. Postal Service plans to stop delivering letters and other first-class mail on Saturdays beginning Aug. 1, although packages will continue to be delivered.
