UPDATE 6:10pm 10/19:
Major construction has been completed for the repair. All systems are go. We will continue to monitor the service for any hiccups that may appear from such a large incident.

Please remember to call before you dig. It is a free service provided to prevent such events.

Thank you for your patience while the fiber personnel worked on this issue.

Previous post:
We are experiencing a network outage. Below is what I sent out in email this evening. I have no other information at this time.

Tonight's outage originated outside of our network. The outage is due to the fiber that feeds our network being cut.

Because this outage is outside of our network, we must wait for the fiber personnel to determine where the cut is and repair the fiber feed.

There is no estimate as to when this will be completed. They did say that it could take longer than normal because of Hurricane Milton.

Thank you for your patience while the fiber personnel work on this issue.

We will update again when we have more information.

UPDATE 11/3: Service was restored just before 5am. The fiber that feeds this area was damaged because of road construction on a busy highway.
If you do not have service, call or email us.

We are experiencing a network-wide outage due to the fiber that feeds our network being down. Since the outage is outside of our network, we must rely on the fiber company to correct the issue.
We currently do not have access to our phone or email systems.
I will update here (and email when I have access to email) when I have new information.

UPDATE: 8/1 5pm: The tower equipment has been changed and internet service has been restored. I have reached out to a couple of individuals that I didn't see reconnect to the network. If you do not have service, please send us an email ([email protected]) or call/text 352-478-2009 so we can help you get reconnected. Thank you

UPDATE 8/1 7:30am: We will begin changing equipment on the tower soon. I do not know how long this will take. Our hope is to have everyone reconnected today. I will likely not have updates as to how the process is going since they will be focusing on getting service restored as quickly (and safely) as possible. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE 5PM: We need to replace equipment on the tower when it is safe to do so. Rain and lightning are in the forecast for the rest of this evening. Our plan is to start working on it early tomorrow morning.

We are investigating an outage in the following areas:
Big Tree, Forest Hills, Ranchette Road area, Lake Hill Baptist Church area.
We will update when we have more information.
Thank you

UPDATE: This issue has been resolved.

We are diagnosing an outage in the CR 315, Gatorbone Lake, and White Sands Lake areas. I will post updates when I have more information.

This issue has been resolved..

We are diagnosing a "slow internet" issue. I will update when I have more information.

UPDATE: Power outages at tower sites will be affecting service if the batteries run out before Clay Electric can safely restore power. This will affect customers along CR 214, in the Big Tree area, White Sands and Spring Lake areas.

We have a battery backup failing at one of our towers. We will replace it as soon as possible. However, this means that when the power flickers or goes out, the tower loses power. This is affecting customers in the CR 315, Gatorbone Lake, White Sands Lake areas. With the extremely heavy amount of rain falling, some of the tower equipment's ability to broadcast internet is affected. We are monitoring the network and will address issues when possible. Service should improve as the weather does.

Edit 11:05am: Clay Electric has restored power to the area.

A power outage is affecting our towers in the area between CR 214 and CR 352. For example, those living near Silver Sands Rd, Monongahela, Silver Sands Lake, Lassen St.

Fiber cut was due to DOT road construction in Central Florida setting a pylon where the fiber was buried. They had to excavate and repair the fiber (which is why it took so long for the repair).
Thank you for your patience.

Update 7am: The repair is complete and internet service has been restored. If you do not have internet, please call or email us so we can diagnose the issue.

UPDATE 8:50PM: The fiber that feeds our network has been cut. The fiber company has technicians working on the repair.

We are experiencing an issue with our fiber feed coming into our network. I do not have any information yet, but I will update when I know more.

Update 2/7 9:50am: I cannot say with certainty that the issue has been completely resolved, but everything has looked good since early this morning.
If I find out otherwise, I will post another update.
Thank you for your patience.

Update 2/6 1:15pm: We are still dealing with the same issue. As of now, it seems like the connection is good for quite a while and then it drops out for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. The flow of internet is fine until there is the drop. You are able to use the internet, but expect interruptions until it is resolved. Since this issue originates outside of our network, we have to rely on an outside source to correct the issue.

Update 2/6 7:10am: We are still experiencing an intermittent connection with the internet feed coming into our network. I do not have an estimate for when the issue will be resolved.

Update 10:30pm: The internet feed coming into our network is intermittent. You may have a connection for a few minutes, and then it goes away. We have contacted tech support about the issue.

We are troubleshooting an internet outage. This post will be updated when I have more information.
