KaleDog Press is a side project, as a semi-retired graphic designer, I have been working with cut vinyl and custom apparel for over 25 years. As the full time caregiver for a disabled veteran, I have learned to appreciate humor and sarcasm in dealing with our stressful world and have star

ted up this project as a creative outlet that just might spread a little joy in the world. The items that will be offered utilize a blend of commercially sourced designs as well as fully original artwork and for transparency, occasional AI elements. All of the finished products are crafted in house, locally. DTFs available for purchase for home use may be either custom designs and/or commercial overstock. Currently I am not taking custom orders or clients but I do welcome suggestions. A dedicated storefront will not be opening at this time, but I will be partnering with local businesses and events where possible.

Quick example of the power of bulk buying for the seed co-op. I opened a couple packets of basil seeds today both packets cost a little over $3 a piece one had .5 g of seeds the other 1 gram of seeds which is pretty standard. Both are shown here next to one of our Italian large leaf basil packets. A single packet of Italian large leaf with 2 grams of seed from the same company is $2.99 but by buying in bulk with the seed co-op I'm able to offer you about three times as many seeds for just $2. Making home gardening more affordable and accessible is the name of the game around here. Our summer heat Can increase the bitter compounds in cucumbers. Using an alternative like these Armenian cucumber seeds, which grow to look and taste a lot like English hot house cucumbers but are actually a melon so they don't have the same bitter compounds, can extend your cucumber season through the summer for fresh eating and quick refrigerator pickling. These ones were sprouted for 2 days indoors before being planted out in grow bags. The same seeds are available through the seed co-op at Alice's Market Place for $2.

Red Storm sunflowers are grown primarily to be microgreens (sunnies). They have a red tint to many of the stems so they look lovely in salads and sandwiches. I was curious what they look like if they are allowed to mature and was having trouble finding verified photos of the blooms so I put some in the garden. They are about 8in tall so far but look at the colour of those stems! These are one of the varieties we have available in the seed co-op at Alice's Market Place. Pick up a packet for $2, come in this week to save an additional 20% off. Stop by Wed-Sat from 10am-5pm at the shop located on Stockton Hill Rd behind the bowling alley in Kingman.

Our Seed Co-Op at Alice's Market Place is part of their 20% off store-wide sale this weekend. Microgreen and baby green seeds as well as a wide variety of garden seeds from Bentley Seed Co. Are all 20% off Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm. Credit cards accepted. The marketplace is located in the large metal building in the parking lot behind the bowling alley off Stockton Hill Rd, can't miss it. Regular price for all Bentley seeds and most Co-Op seeds is $2 so sale price will be $1.60 per pack for most seeds.

Blub blub. Taking a break from replanting blackberries this morning to build a fishie tank for this little lady and 5 of her friends. Big thanks to our local fish rescue Pendley's Plentiful Pets, Fish Tank Cleaning - Arizona Fish Rescue for taking the time to help me go through all the items in their yard sale today and pick out everything i need for a cute indoor 15gal aquarium and a small outdoor pond for the papyrus I bought at the cerbat garden club annual plant sale on Friday.

Another restock for the seed co-op at Alice's Market Place We are doing the cracker Jack Marigolds today. Rumor has it they can reach heights of 4 ft or taller in good conditions. This will be my first year trying them so I guess we'll find out. We're stuffing these baggies fat today and headed out to the marketplace this afternoon. Grab yours behind the bowling alley off Stockton Hill road Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Seed co-op packets are $2 for individual varieties and $3 for our custom microgreen blends. Don't forget to grab some Bentley seed packs as well and get your free Earth Day seeds with your Bentley purchase through Saturday while supplies last.
