Edge360 worked with festival staff and Magic Mile Media to re-imagine a website that is more closely aligned with the BBQ Fest on the Neuse brand. We are excited about this year's festival - May 5th and 6th - and we know it will be a great success.

Call to action (CTA) is a marketing term for any device designed to prompt an immediate response or encourage an immediate sale. A CTA most often refers to the use of words or phrases that can be incorporated into sales scripts, advertising messages, or web pages, which compel an audience to act in a specific way.

You don’t need just any CTA; you want a strong one that convinces people to act.

There are two main purposes of a call to action: to tell someone what they should do, and give them the motivation to do so.

A lot of people remember to tell people what they should do, but they forget the why part of that equation. Without that, you won’t see the types of conversion rates that you should.

Your website’s homepage should communicate your core message instantaneously. After all, we rarely read every word on a website. Instead, we quickly scan the page, picking out keywords, sentences and images. With these known behaviors in mind, it’s better to appeal to emotions rather than word count.

The less site visitors have to read, click on, or remember, the better they’ll be able to process and evaluate your content. By designing for decreasing attention spans, it’s more likely that users will do what you intend them to do.

Google recently made major changes to how their search results show. This means more than ever you need a real strategy to get your website ranking and bringing in more business.

Three steps to do this.

1. Make your site fast. Make sure your website loads quickly on a cell phone and is easy to use. If your site doesn't do this in 2021, you are dead in the water.

2. Make your site a resource. Publish real, helpful information you would share with your customers. Without this your site is essentially worthless.

3. Use your Google My Business page like your Facebook account. Get reviews, post updates, post pictures, and make sure you actually complete your profile. This is the easiest and FASTEST win in the Google universe. There is no excuse.
