From 2017 to 2026 — A Decade of Connecting Communities

It’s amazing to look back and see how much can change in just a few years.

These photos show a YTEL site in the Klamath/Glenn area, from 2017 compared with today in 2026. What started as communications infrastructure surrounded by the landscape has continued to grow and evolve as we work to bring better connectivity to the communities we serve.

From the equipment and solar-powered setup in the 2017 photo to the new tower infrastructure being developed in 2026, these images are a reminder of the work that goes on behind the scenes to build and improve reliable telecommunications service.

At YTEL, we’re proud to invest in infrastructure that helps connect people, families, businesses, and communities — including areas where providing dependable service can be challenging.

2017 → 2026. Ten years of progress, investment, and connection.

🌟 YTEL Employee Spotlight: Georgiana Gensaw🌟
This week, we're excited to highlight Georgiana Gensaw one of our Project Manager in the Project Management Division.

Georgiana has been with us for 1 year and plays an important role by focusing on the fiber projects and works closely with Tribal Departments.

When asked what they enjoy most about their job, Georgiana shared: 💬 "My heart is always with my community. It feels good to be a part of a project that has such a direct positive impact for Tribal people and our community as a whole. Access to the internet can change the quality of our lives."

One accomplishment they're especially proud of is: ⭐is watching the work being done along Highway 101 from Orick to Klamath. It's really exciting to see the work being done by two Tribal Corporations.

Outside of work, Georgiana enjoys being with my family and friends, preferably near the river or ocean. She could not live without her true crime shows!

Fun Fact: I am one of 10 siblings, and I was one of the last babies born at the old Hoopa Hospital.

Thank you, Georgiana, for your hard work, dedication, and positive impact on our team! 👏
