Step away from the hustle of Market Square and turn into the alley behind The Oliver Hotel, where you’ll discover Knoxville’s plushest speakeasy, the Peter Kern Library. This bar, steeped in history and named after the original Kern’s Bakery, channels the charm of the past. We embraced a literary theme and carried the concept into every detail of the print materials. The menus, inspired by late 19th-century book design, feature a food menu tucked into a bookmark, while checks arrive in classic manila library pockets. The overall vibe? Immaculate. Do yourself a favor and take a trip to the library.

Hey everybody don't forget there is a game day shuttle from the Old City to and from Neyland Stadium on Saturday. It's super easy and costs less than paying for parking near campus. And you can pre-game or tailgate in the Old City before you head over.
