The new scam i am seeing is an email claiming you have renewed your pc security for $399 a year. There is a phone number to call for billing questions. Upon calling they say it was a mistake and they want to refund you $399 and just need account info to deposit the money. This is another scam , please call me or message me if you are unsure of any contact regaurding your pc.

This is an F.Y.I for anyone still running windows 7. In January of 2020 microsoft will end support for windows 7,this means no security or driver updates which will leave you vunerable to viruses and malware. I can upgrade most computers to windows 10. call for a free estimate 319-230-0892

This is getting to be a huge problem as I have had 3 calls myself in 6 months and heard of many others so im reposting this.

I am still getting reports from customers that "microsoft" is calling them to warn them of a problem with their computer. This is a scam. The person calling has no way to tell whats on your computer unless you allow them access to it.The scammer eventually will ask for payment to "fix" the problem. A good way to get rid of them is say"That's funny, I don't have a computer." they will hang up. I asked to speak to Bill Gates since they were calling from microsoft. They hung up. Don't get scammed. If in doubt call me and I will let you know if they are reputable.

Tech Tip- If someone calls you claiming your computer is hacked or infected they are lying. They have no way of knowing whats on your computer unless you let them log onto it remotely. This scam usually leads to a costly subscription to their service to "Fix" your problem. If your not sure what to do give me a call 319-230-0892.
