🎉 We're thrilled to celebrate Drone Institute's headquarters expansion in Lafayette!
This project will create 610 direct jobs over the next 10 years, with an estimated 758 indirect jobs, totaling nearly 1,400 new opportunities for the Acadiana Region.
This is Lafayette's third drone industry announcement in 2025, reinforcing our emergence as a true hub for unmanned aerial systems and advanced technology. Drone Institute is proving that innovative tech companies can thrive right here in Lafayette. Their new consolidated facility will bring together flight operations, data processing, pilot training, and software development under one roof – creating a center of excellence for aerial imaging and infrastructure assessment.
