Dekunu is entering a holding pattern… Hopefully all this navigation tech can assist in getting back to the spot.

As you all know, the world is a bit hectic right now. Global chip shortages, supply chain struggles and the closure of tech facilities in Ukraine (not to mention a couple of floods in our HQ) have all had an impact on Dekunu and the ability to produce new devices.
The team has exhausted every avenue in an attempt to reach a suitable resolution to get manufacturing underway again but with no visible light at the end of the tunnel some tough decisions have to be made.

Timing is everything and over the past five years the focus has been on investing in the future. Better products, systems, software, algorithms, procedures and support. Every dollar of profit has been reinvested in the company for the future. With that being said, it is not feasible to continue committing for the future without a valid revenue stream in the present. The inability to manufacture, and sell, new devices has deemed as-usual operations impractical. The difficult decision has been made to scale back, cut costs and ride out the storm.

What does this mean for existing Dekunu users? You shouldn’t notice anything. The Dekunu Cloud Portal and Device API will remain fully functional - There should be no change to your device or cloud experience. Customer support will continue to be available with a reduced capacity. For the next month limited accessories, wrist mounts and merch are available in the Dekunu online store and from dealers - after that, the online stores will be closed as another cost cutting measure. The name of the game here is to reduce costs, buy some time and keep things afloat until the electronics manufacturing industry recovers.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out about getting a new device during the past 6 months of unavailability. We’d love nothing more than for you all to have your hands on a Dekunu One ASAP but for now our hands are tied. Updates on restock will be posted on social media as soon as a glimmer of light shines down the tunnel…
