We started this month by getting grounded in our principles.
We looked at where we wanted to go.
And then we took one tiny step at a time.

Now I have one question for you: How did it go?

Did you make progress? Did something surprise you? Did you change direction along the way?

I have burning questions in my mind, and I really hope you'll answer them. 😊 Tell me where you are in the comments.

Creating something isn't the end of the process.

Sometimes you need to stop and ask: What worked? What felt natural? What did people respond to? What would I change next time?

That's not failure or second-guessing. That's creative direction.

You don't have to keep charging ahead simply because you made a plan. Look at what you've learned, then use it to decide your next direction.

Create. Review. Adjust. Keep going.

We started this month by getting grounded in our principles. Then we found our direction, made a plan and started taking those tiny steps forward.
Before we rush toward the next thing, take a minute and look back.
What changed? What did you start? What did you finally stop overthinking? Maybe you didn't get as far as you'd hoped, but did you get farther than where you started?

Think about something you've been wanting to do but haven't started because it feels too big.

Now make it smaller.
What's ONE actionable step you can take today that moves you forward?
Not the whole project.
Not the entire plan.
Just the next step.
Write it down. Then do it.
Because one tiny step has a funny way of leading to another... and another... until eventually, you're not just planning anymore.
You're making progress.

You can study the map. Look at every trail. Compare the routes. Figure out which path will get you where you want to go.
But eventually, you have to take the first step.
It's the same with your creative work. You can research, plan, prepare and think about all the possibilities, but none of those things move you forward until you begin.
And beginning doesn't have to be big.
Write the first sentence. Record the first 30 seconds. Make the phone call. Open the project you've been avoiding.
Choose your path. Take one step. Then take the next one.
That's how you get somewhere.

Big progress doesn't always begin with a big move.
Sometimes it begins with one tiny step.
I've built a lot of what I do that way. I set aside some time, decide what I can move forward today, and take that step. Then that step usually shows me the next one.
Tiny steps aren't insignificant. They're how we stop staring at the whole mountain and actually start climbing it.
You don't have to finish today.
Just take the next step.

One of the biggest mistakes I see isn't poor lighting or shaky video.
It's trying to say everything at once.
Great communicators know where they're taking their audience before they ever press Record.
When your message has direction, your audience feels confident following you.
Clarity isn't about saying more.
It's about leading people somewhere worth going.

Find Your Direction

Knowing what you stand for is the first step.
Knowing where you're headed is the next.
A compass doesn't move your feet. It simply keeps you from wandering.
As you begin this week, ask yourself:
Am I moving with purpose... or just staying busy?
A clear direction turns small, consistent steps into meaningful progress.
