Meet Colleen Reed - Fine Art and Murals!
Colleen is an artist and photographer based in Southern Indiana and the Executive Director of the Art at Tell City Regional Arts. Through her work, she creates opportunities for people of all ages to experience art and connect with their community.

From community murals and public art projects to photography and seasonal displays, Colleen is passionate about making art accessible and meaningful throughout the region. She is now bringing her talents to downtown Vincennes! Colleen is the artist behind the Fleur de Lis mural at The Open Gallery! We are excited to watch Colleen bring this piece to life here in the next couple of days!

Have you always wanted to learn some foundational skills about drawing and were just to afraid to try or ask? 🤔🙂

In Drawing Basics we'll go through some basic skills needed plus delve into the right materials to use for the effect you want to have. Perfect for beginners and those wanting a 'drawing-know how refresh'.

If you would like for me to help you get started on a specific drawing you've been wanted to do for a while, bring in a copy of your image and we'll giver' a whirl! ✏️ 🖼️Drawing basics is the beginning of lots of other kinds of art.

Learn about the basics of drawing with different pencils and paper. You'll learn how to draw something proportional and how to shade. We'll do a couple of exercises and start on a drawing that you can finish at TCRA or at home.

Simple, straightforward techniques to improve your drawing skills. Great beginner class for those wanted to improve their sketchbook game.

📝You can bring your own sketchbook but other materials are provided. This class is best suited for ages 10 to adult.
