Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached all. 🇺🇸

On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved people were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This moment became known as Juneteenth, a powerful milestone in American history.

Here in Texas, Juneteenth holds deep roots. It began as a celebration of freedom, resilience, and community—honoring the end of slavery and the ongoing journey toward equality.

Today, we celebrate not just history, but progress, culture, and the importance of remembering where we’ve been as we continue moving forward together.

Thank you times a MILLION, to Little Play Patch, for having us over this week! For our career day, we made the following things that went right along with what we do at Udderly Creative, but with a little twist - the kiddos handmade them themselves, instead of using the computer to design them:
-Business Cards - they drew what they want to be when they grow up
-Plantable Wildflower Seed Paper - they wrote a wish, and took the paper home with a pot to plant it at home
-Bookmarks to hold their place when reading
-Mini Art Prints to take home in a mini frame
-Spiral-Bound Booklets to write a story or sketch in

Printing is fun, but this little twist on what we do was just as much of a good time!
